Travel Agency Concludes Two-Week Northeast Tour with Donation to Old People's Home

The Holiday Scout, a travel agency based in Bomdila, West Kameng district culminated its two-week-long Northeast tour on Tuesday by making a generous donation of essential items to the Dhargyeling Old People's Home in Tezu's Tibetan Settlement Camp in Lohit district.


The agency, which guides tourists from around the world in exploring India's rich and diverse culture, aims to make every journey to the country an unforgettable one. It offers a variety of fixed tour packages under the categories of Adventure Tourism, Pilgrimage, Wildlife Discovery, and Environmental Tourism.


The group, which had embarked on the tour with a group of Italian tourists on October 31 from Guwahati, concluded the trip in Tezu earlier today. The tour group donated essential items to the old people's homes before departing.


The donation included milk, rice, Horlicks, cooking oil, cereal, butter, tea, flour, cheese, winter clothes, Harpic bottles, wipers, toilet brushes, and other essential items.

He also informed that the group had visited Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila, Itanagar, Ziro, Namsai, and Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh, Majuli in Assam, and Mon in Nagaland during their tour.


Dhargyeling Old People's Home, established in 1984, currently caters to 16 elderly residents. It was founded to provide shelter and support for the destitute elders of the settlement who have no place of accommodation or means of support.
