In a joint operation, the Deomali and Borduria police stations arrested four persons and recovered 110.5 grams of heroin on November 3, 2023.
Acting on reliable information, the police raided a rented house in Deomali's Batey colony belonging to one Jenwang Teppa. The heroin was found concealed in nine soap cases. Teppa and three others, Wangtiap Hakhun, Wangchun Lowang, and Jalin Lowang, were arrested in connection with the case.
The police also recovered Rs 36,100 in cash, five syringes, and a Redmi mobile phone with a SIM card from the accused.
An FIR under Section 21(b)/27(a)/25 of the NDPS Act and Section 34 of the IPC has been registered against the accused in Deomali PS. Further investigation is underway.
